I got the chance to look one over too. Very nicely done!

Raptor is a specialty use vehicle. If folks wanna tow big or haul big... Ford makes F350s for that. :D

Good article. It's amazing what a difference pushrods and 13 cubic inches makes (73HP and 35lb-ft of torque)

That Dodge has some crazy front suspension.....32" of travel.....

And the Raptor has a 'wide stance'...

I want to correct two things I said before in this thread.

I had stated the cargo capacity of the Raptor I looked at at the dealership was 839 lbs, and that is incorrect. It turns out that the decal inside the drivers side door that says 839 lbs is a tire information decal, and that weight limit is the limit of the tires. The cargo capacity of the Raptor is actually 1,020 lbs. That is a small difference I know, but it should be pointed out. For me the extra 200 lbs cargo capacity makes the difference in whether I can tow my aluminum transport trailer with the truck, or not. Believe it or not, that extra 200 lbs gives the truck just enough extra cargo capacity to be able to handle the extra tongue weight of the trailer.

I had also stated that the Raptor was the only SVT vehicle that was not making money. That was dated information from very early after its release. As of now the factory producing Raptors is at full production, and sales are reported as being brisk.

And, ... has anyone seen this months issue of Four Wheeler Magazine? They have the first driving test I have seen with an actual production Raptor, as opposed to the pre-production units that have been tested before. They pretty much loved the truck, but did mention a few negatives. Apparently it has a stiff ride at slow speed over square edged bumps, pot holes, etc. They also mention that it has what sounds like a serious case of understeer. If anyone on the forum has driven one it would be interesting to hear your impressions.

Not sure you could call it a review but they were quite happy with the new Ford!
