Called the guy today with the silver 2wd in sanford.

Still has the original tires on it and all service records from the dealer.

Where are the pics?

This truck.

Cars for Sale: 2005 Chevrolet Silverado and other C/K1500 SS in Sanford, FL 32773: Truck Details - 336914494 - AutoTrader.com

I wont be able to see it til next weekend.. the guy is out of town.

It says its no longer listed.

That's Tapatalk being dumb.

Really it is personal preference on which you would want to go with. We had an AWD, but also lived in Virginia for much of its life.

2WD is quicker and a lot less expensive to keep alive - plus it will get a little better MPG - and you don't live in the land of snow or ice.

Actually, the 2WD has 3.73 gears and the AWD 4.10s, so the AWD gets off the line quicker.
BUT

Road tests I've seen from the period don't give any timed advantage to the AWD version. I guess the gears just make up for the extra pounds. 6.7 0-60 and 15.1 in the quarter aren't exactly going to win many drag races either way. IIRC, early models were AWD only though.
