You should be able to get yours rodded and repaired for less than that.

JB weld makes a repair "putty" for use on radiators and gas tanks. I used it before on an old car I had, planning on it just being a temporary fix until I had enough money to get a new radiator. However, it held up just fine and was like that when I sold the car about a year later. But it wasn't on the actual tank, the joint where the fill neck met the tank was leaking so I covered that whole area around the neck and it worked great. Maybe you can try that as a temporary solution.

A step-by-step on how to fix it

1. open hood
2. remove radiator cap
3. drive truck away
4. place new truck under old cap
5. install cap
6. enjoy fix
