any one know how to tell what program is set on the ecm without having the actual programmer ? i bought my cummins used and its not stock just dont know what tuner they where using

That's a tuff one. I am guessing the dealer could reflash to stock. With my efi live tune you save the stock tune in case you have to go back to it.

With that tune you could always find the stock software.

So to answer your first question there is no way to find out what you have unless you had the original hand hand tuner that stored the vin. Chances are it was wiped when they sold the tuner. But normally you have to restore the tuned vehicle to stock for that to be used again.

So in right mind you might have SW but you would need the files that were saved from your truck when it was tuned.

You might even be able to get a tuner and use it to retune where you would like it to be.

i'm gonna leave it it runs great i was just curious what tuner they where using my mechanic put a injector in it and said that aint no stock program i already knew that
