i plug in if below -20c, i run sysnthetics and don`t worry about anything warmer, everything starts.

I haven`t been pluggin in the old service truck though.

it has synthetic 0w-30 tho, and The starter works as a good bump motor to get her going.....eventually

20F degrees ABOVE zero is a bitter cold snap here (and very rare). Not much input for plugging in.

I've got a block heater on my Jeep, it tends to get finicky around +20F or so and under. I don't use it all that often, and people tell me it's dumb because of the notorious Jeep oil leak. But (as I knock on my desk) Mean Green doesn't leak all that much, if at all that I've noticed.

If I had a block heater I would plug it in when it gets down around 0 and below, but since I dont......

One of those things I think about adding right before winter every year...
