Like the title says, I'm looking for input on radar detectors. I'm hoping for input from guys with actual long-term experience.

I'd prefer honest, objective reviews... even if you have to tell me the one you bought sucks. :D

Thanks, Guys and Girls!

You should contact wonhunglo over on GMT. He seems to be very knowledgeable about detectors. He has posted some information about them. Worth a try.

But then I'd have to fucking talk to fucking Won. :uhoh:

I had a bunch of Escort products over the years T. I was always impressed by their build quality and back in the radar days around here I think they saved me several hundred thousand dollars!

:dunno: I'm lost must be a GM thing :dunno:

Long story short:

We had a guy who went by WonHunglo on another site. He was always bitching about language being used (and just about anything else). He almost never chimed in unless he had a negative comment.

In his honor, we changed F U C K to fWONk to piss him off. Not sure if it did or not, but it stuck and followed us over here when we started this place... Plus is looks better to the casual reader of the site.

There ya have it.

UH... You DO know that WON is who put the WON in fWONk here right?
Oh, I realize that. :D "Mr. Happiness is coming" has posted information over there somewhere. Seems like he gave out some pretty good info at one time. I know he has done some testing of various units around the Houston area. Might at least search Mr. Happy's posts

Do what the fWONk you want about it.:lol:

I haven't kept up with the technology in recent years. I have no use for detectors anymore. Can't have 'em the company vehicles. Get caught with one and you might be gone. Bad enough they keep track of us all the time anyway, thanks GPS

I used to bug him by posting responses to his posts, especially his negative ones. I'd usually type "Thanks Mr. Happy". He sent me a nasty PM with language included that he complained about if he saw it in a post.

He always made me think of the comic character that always had dark cloud over his head
