You guys probably don't remember this, but somewhere on this board there is the very old thread where I posted about teaching my son to drive a stick, and buying him his first vehicles with a stick.

Just recently he thanked me again for having taught him how to drive a stick, and how it has presented random opportunities for him to help at work, and with friends since then.

NONE of his friends, and few of the people in his orbit at work can operate one.

This entire house can drive stick. The wife, the 19yo boy, the 15yo boy and the 14yo daughter.

Taught the 15yo on the 93 IDIT

Honestly, If it’s not a daily driver, I always look for manuals.

One of my favorite cars to drive was '68 Roadrunner with a 383 magnum 4 speed. I had that when I was 18 back in '78.

I’ve had a 91 Sierra RCSB, 89 Supra, 84 Dodge Daytona Turbo, Jeeps, an FJ40 and more.

I wish they weren’t disappearing… Not enough folks enjoy driving anymore. Still want a Miata or S2000, just to zip around on curvy roads.
