As any old Dodge truck enthusiast knows, there is not a lot of aftermarket support for our trucks. I am fighting an uphill battle now trying to locate the parts I require for the auxiliary fuel tank on my 72 D200. I have been all over the internet and called multiple places in hopes of locating these parts. I am sure there has got to be someone out there I have not called however. So if you do not mind could you all please post links and or numbers to whoever deals in parts for my 72 Dodge? While I am at it maybe I will get lucky and find a few other things as well.

Have you tried a dealer?

No, seriously! I'm constantly amazed at what dealer's have stuffed away in back rooms. I was at a Chrysler warehouse one day, back in the late 90's, picking up parts for something else and, as a joke, when the parts guy asked if I needed anything else I said, "Yeah... a pair of taillight lenses for a 1970 Plymouth Fury III, and the left side fender badge."

Damn if he didn't check the computer and tell me they had 4 of each lens in stock, and a box of 20 fender badges. I bought two sets of the lenses and a pair of the badges. :D

(This was at the S&W Dodge warehouse in Middle Village, NY)

Dodge is different than the other OEM's. They are quick to let me know thier computers do not go back that far. And of course, with out thier computers they cannot help me.

Meanwhile, they've probably got all the parts to build a '62 Valiant stuck in dusty corners of the warehouse. Never got entered on the computer because there's no barcode.
