Re: Wheels - Time for some changes - UPDATE: Never mind

I have something else up my sleeve.

Do they even make semi-gloss auto paint or did you want me to hit it with some Sherwin Williams? :dunno:

And remember, it's just a rendering, I still think these will look way better when actually on my truck in a 20x10 -24 offset with a deeper 4.25" lip.

I'm all for it.

Two things you need to do though.

1) Have some custom vinyl decals made to cover the Fuel logo. Have your skull and wings put on them in a chrome foil or similar.

2) Gloss black mirror caps. The gloss on textured mirror would add another little bit of contrast that I think would look great.

Haha, I actually think the Fuel logo is one of the few wheel logos that looks pretty cool, some of them are horrid. In fact, after going through this difficult choice again, I really wish I could put my design background/skills to good use to design wheels for some of the wheel companies out there, IMO there really are more bad looking wheels than nice ones out there.

The skull and wings as the wheel logo..hmm..maybe if I had small ones waterjet out of some aluminum I could powdercoat in the chrome/clear like the springs they would look decent, I'm sure the Fuel logo is removable like my Ballistic caps, they were a thin molded disc that could be double tape stuck to the plastic caps, I left the logo off on the new caps I bought.

Miror caps..hmm..another possibility, at least the bttom of the mirror would still be textured, so that might work.

What's funny is, I thought of you and that ongoing joke of yours when I was photoshopping them. I made them a gloss black, so you could see the reflections and detail better.

View it fullsize, there's a lot of work in that photoshop right there, unappreciative you are J.
