Wheels & Tires Dilemma

I'd just feel a little more comfortable having that extra sidewall an 18" wheel would give you when you're off-road. That's one of the main reasons I'd pick the 18's. All in all, either way will look good, I just think the 18's will do more work then a 20".

If your going to go with a lift and bigger tires down the road.. I would go with 20's.. I think they just look better IMO... Specially if you get a set of 35's eventually...

But if you want to save $ and mpg's go with the 18's... I just personally like the look of 20's better

I'm going to chime in on the side of 18 inchers for an off road look that might actually be taken off road. I know there are nice 20s that work well, but the extra sidewall of the 18 looks more "off road" to me.

That's what I thinking too. I think the 20" off road rim/tire set up looks killer. It just seems like that extra sidewall helps. I could be wrong. All I've ever taken off road were trucks lifted with 15's and big meaty ass tires.

If you ever plan on offroading, you'll want the 18s...

For good rim safety, you'd want at LEAST 35 - 37s for a 20" rim...

I know a lot of people around here who've learned that lesson with their factory 20s and 4x4ing

my last two vehicles have had 16s and 17s so 18s are plenty big for me

my rule of thumb is no bigger than an 18 with a 33 tire and no bigger than a 20 with a 35 tire.

id say save a few bucks and get the 18's. but the 20's would look mighty fine haha.
