Hell if that's his garage, I'll go and mop the damn floor for him. Got some nice looking old cars in there.

Nice Challenger!!! Now, if you tell me that garage and all of those old cars are also yours.....you are banned!!! :fume:

:D

Man, I wish that was my garage. My son is attending college to earn his ASE certification, and that is the shop at his college. They had a car show for the grand opening of the new shop, and my son took the Challenger to the car show. There were lots of old classics, several not so old classics ('57 era), and a few new muscle cars, including the Challenger, a 2010 Mustang, and a 2010 Camaro. Its too bad they didn't put the three modern muscle cars together; now that would have been a picture.

The best part of the new Ram is how quiet it is. I have never owned a vehicle that has such a total lack of wind noise, road noise, harmonics, vibration, etc.

The next best part is the Alpine sound system, which is the best sound system of any vehicle I have ever owned. The best and second best features complement each other very well.

Next best would be the fantastic leather seats in the Laramie truck. They are far better than prior trucks with top of the line interiors that I have owned. This truck simply has the quietest, most comfortable interior of any truck I've ever owned, and has the best sound system in it.

Ride quality is good. Power is really good. Towing power is really good. Cargo carrying capacity is adequate at best. Fuel mileage is about what is expected for a 390 hp V8 (10 to 14, depending on if I am towing anything, or not).

I test drove a fully loaded Laramie a few months ago and I concur!!! it was VERY comfy and rode beautifully. I'd buy one....if I didn't like this GMC so damned much.

Heres my line up.

2004:

2002 Ford Explorer Sport
- First car, given by parents when they didn't need it anymore.

2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 LS1, auto, bright red. Because the Explorer wasn't a fun high school whip. Bought this pretty cheap ( $6k ) 196k miles, auto.. but a nice car overall.

2005

2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6
LS1, 6spd, black, this was the real fun machine. $19k but well worth it, with my good luck with jobs back then with my teenage energy I paid for it in no time. Sold it in spring 2007 since I couldn't afford to keep it with my truck and house.

2001 Ford F150 Supercrew Lariat Because a WS6 was not a practical daily driver. Great truck, never let me down. Was stolen from me though.

2007

2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.0L CCSB
Got this as a replacement for my 2001 F150. Was working in carpentry at the time so a tougher truck made more sense, and I got a deal for it with my dads friend being the seller on the lot. Good truck, loud one, but a bit uncomfortable for my likings, terrible gas mileage ( which is expected from a 3/4 ton ). Real good looking truck though, but not my cup of tea.

2008 - current

2004 Ford F150 Supercab 6'5 bed

Got this to replace the Silverado. Easier payments, 200 miles more per tank, excellent truck. Tough and full or torque, strong body compared to the 2500HDs body, high quality looks, amazing sound system for stock, paid it off with some extra money from last year, very happy with it and plan on keeping it for a long time.
