Tried to figure out a spot to mount 4 HID ballasts. There's no room! The engine bay is so crammed; especially compared to the Z71. Might try to mount them behind the bumper using some custom brackets.

Zip ties can be your friend when mounting ballasts.

No way I'd rely on zip-ties to hold them in place for that long.

How about behind the lights themselves? That's where Tahoe has them.

Nope. No room.

Thinking about doing what this guy did. HERE. They'd be protected from rain/snow/salt being tucked behind the bumper and I could have an extra metal plate to cover the top of them. Only downfall is that if I ever do get in an accident, they'd either be damaged or ruined.

I have been thinking about waxing the Caddy...but I noticed yesterday, in all the rain, water is still beading up on it, so I reckon it don't need it as bad as I thought it did...

Mine to, but I thought I would strip it and put a new coat on it before winter sets in. Oh well, perhaps next weekend if it's not to cold and raining.
