Well, I didn't get to work on either truck today like I wanted to. I wanted to clean the throttle body and MAF on the S10 and then play around with the stereo on the Silverado. Oh well. That'll wait 'til the weekend.
I did however get the '94 Mustang brakes done. I put on the new caliper bracket and rotor on the driver's side (took like 20 minutes) and that side was done. So I went for a drive. Got maybe 3 miles and smelt something hot. Pulled off the road, stopped, looked in the mirror and saw smoke. I thought it may have been exhaust, but when I got out, the passenger side had rolling smoke coming off the brakes! So I let it sit for like 10 minutes and then proceeded home; slowly and stopped 5 times to let them stay cool. Got home, screwed the piston into the caliper farther (a whole 1/2 turn) and now it isn't smoking or getting hotter than the other side..........I realize this isn't truck related, but it kept me from working on my trucks...for TWO DAYS NOW!
