I may take the son for his "Sunday morning" drivers training in it.

It's up to him
:dunno:

For him to drive your truck or just take him to a class? - Most kids don't like to learn on a big vehicle IMO. - I wish him the best of luck! (my brother failed his test twice and my cousin failed hers once...so far)

Just gave the truck its morning bath. Hasn't rained here since the last one when I also put a fresh coat of NuFinish on it so the water is really beading up and running off FAST.

Nah..he has his learners permit, has since February.

Since then we go on a long drive every Sunday. He usually drives his 00 Celica his Mom and I bought him, and he drives it well, its a 5 spd.
But he needs to hone his skills on other Vehicles too IMO.The boy needs to know what a V8, with a BB tune drives like.:naughty:
We went on a one hour drive today in the truck, and he did fine. It's intimidating to him due to the size, but he did well.
His only comment was, "I wish this truck had a 5spd":thumbs:

Glad to hear that there are still young people that like a 5spd and 2.5 ton trucks!
Now he'll have to get a GM with a 5spd. maybe a Monte Carlo or a Colorado, to get a BB tune.:willy:

I never drove anything smaller than a 1/2 ton until I got my learners permit...

First time I ever got to drive a vehicle without needing my dad to work the pedals, I was 5 or so, and it was on an ice road...

After that I was driving the Suburban and parking it and the 25' holiday trailer whenever we went camping :dunno:

Getting ready to cut off the rear crossmember and the outrigger in front of the fuel tank and then weld on the new ones.

Saw mine in the garage, and am getting rather frustrated about not being able to fine the clunk in the front end.

But I'll be starting a thread pretty soon with some new pics. and some from the car show
