Those lights look great Bernie.

Yeah, I'm super pleased with how they mount and how bright they are. Easiest lights I've installed. Drill a 3/4" hole, pop in the grommet, pop in the light, connect the wires, done.

Well hell that does sound easy, I'm impressed with how good they look. I'm always skeptical of these LED lights. Those look great though.

I was skeptical too, especially for the price ($5 each), but these are nice and bright, meet DOT requirements, have three LEDs in each instead of just one, and are completely sealed (the "lens" is molded around the LEDs as one piece). I picked the clear lens models because they blend in better when they're off, but they also have them with color lenses, and they come in other colors too, like green, purple, blue and white.

I'm seriously thinking of getting six of the white ones and installing them in the side boxes with pin switches, for illumination inside the boxes at night, and maybe two more ambers for side turn signals.

Those are some good lookin lights Bernie. And you can't beat $5 a piece, Regular sidemarkers usually cost at least that much. Where did you get them, I might want to get some? And how deep are they? I've been looking for some white lights like that to mount in the bottom of the mirrors on my wife's car since she keeps saying she wished her car had puddle lamps like my truck has. If I mounted those in the bottom of the mirror housing aimed at the ground that would be sweet!

With the grommet they measure 1-1/16" across, 15/16" long, and have a pair of 7" power wires on them.

I'm not sure just how bright the white ones are though, so they might not work for your idea, but for $10 for two you can hardly go wrong, and if they won't work for your application you can probably find another use for them.

Oh, and they work just fine off a regular 9v battery, but the white lead is the ground and the black lead is the positive.

I didn't get it washed like I wanted to, but I did some WOT on my way to do a little two hour job.

As soon as I started unscrewing the old markers the skies opened up in a downpour, so I closed it back up and will install them tomorrow.

I did snap some pics of them in daylight though, for comparison to the old lights.
