Getting ready to go out and troubleshoot an electrical problem that keeps popping my parking lamp, markers, and dash illumination fuse. I'm pretty sure it's a problem under the dash, as I heard it "pop" yesterday when they went out. Sounds like it was in the wiring bundle to either the illuminated mirrors or the illumination for the switchboxes for the strobes and warning lights.

Also installing 4 new shocks today, heavy-duty Bilstein's all around.

(added later)

Evidently my local weather is somehow tied to this forum. No sooner did I get under the dash then the skies opened up...

Check your cig lighter circuit... Sometimes they're tied to the park lamps/dash lights...

My '85 S10 was like that :fume:

Different circuit. The GPS is plugged in there and works fine, and the CB is wired into the AUX B circuit and also working fine.

I'm 99.9% sure it's either in the splice for the heated/illuminated mirrors, or the dash illumination splice for the labels on the control boxes.

There's a lot of extra wiring stuffed up under there with all this:

Never saw mine. Car or truck never left the garage.

Finally put new shocks on it! (Monroe Reflex monotubes)

I'm also only 2,000 miles away from 200,000.
