Today I noticed how bad my brakes are squealing. I really heard it when my wife took my truck to go pick up the kids from school. I heard her coming up the driveway it was squeeling so loud. I kinda been figuring since around Jan that they'd needa be replaced soon as theyd squeal every once in a while and starting to vibrate slightly when applied. I REALLY noticed shortly after my Blackbear tune, when I slowed doen very quickly from over 100mph.
Anyone wanna donate me some from pads and rotors for a 01 Burban?

Actually... I think I have a set of Semi metallic pads in the garage. Bought them for my 05 Silverado but never used them. Are they the same item?

I dunno if the use the same pads or not, but I DO know they switched to larger rotors on the 05's. I'll go snoop around a few parts sites and see if they have the same part number for 01 pads and 05 pads.

I'll go look at them and see what part number they are. I might have bought them for my 01 now that I think about it. Can't remember... just thought they might come in handy one day so I kept them. Might be tomorrow before I get to them.

From what I see on Advance's site, Ceramic is OE on the 01's but the semi mettalics are listed. The wearever silver and gold are all the same part numbers for 05 and 01. So this has me wondering.........Can I buy 05 rotors and do my own "big brake upgrade" ?? I wonder if the caliper mounts and spindles are all different? Dammit will all this mod ideas running thru my head.
