Tried to figure out my oil pressure issues. After the engine heats up the pressure drops. Changed the filter and oil. It looks like glitter in the oil. :uhoh: Instead of taking the motor back apart to change the bearings i put 50w oil in it so it will hold pressure long enough to trade it in.

Oil pressure will drop after warmup, How much of a drop are we talking?

0-5lbs. kill the truck for a minute and the pressure goes back to normal for a minute or two the drops to barely 5lbs. With the thick oil the truck holds pressure for about 20 minutes after the truck gets hot.

The truck didnt spin a bearing but i think they are shot. I just changed the head gasket and a couple lifters and i'm not taking the motor back apart to find out if i'm right. The trucks gona sit in the driveway for a week or two till i find a truck i want. :D2

The truck runs good and sounds great. Sucks :fume:

Maybe an s-10 4cyl for a work truck. After taxes i'm trading the jeep in for something newer for the family. My ole lady wants a tahoe or burbon.

Sounds like a plan! IMO, don't to the 4 cyl S-10, they are seriously gutless. :nonod:

I use to have a 98 s-10 with the 4.3 and i'd rather it but i drive 50miles one way to some jobs. Mpg is what i want with a bed i can put my tool box and maybe a 4 wheeler in.

Idk. I might end up with a full size pickup :dunno:

I would do a fullsize, I used to have a 92 s-10 blazer with the 4.3 and it was a fuel hog like 14-18 mpg. I don't think they get much better than 20 with the newer models.

You can get 15-17 mpg average outta a newish full size pickup and it will please you better :naughty:
