Ordered a new grill and put an offer in on an overhead console, both for the S10. If I get this overhead console, all I have to do is find another one in the junkyard to swipe the wiring harness off of and then figure out how to wire the damn thing.

Yes my "reverse lift" arrived! Thanks Micheal.

I just contacted the shipper of my last "one spring lift" and their to pick it up today, so I can get my money credited from Amazon!!....things are working out OK so far!:fingersx:

Glad to hear it!

The few times I've had to return anything to Amazon, they've been easy to deal with..

They changed shippers on the return, and they had not yet contacted me like Amazon said the would to arrange pickup.:dunno:

So I called the shipper myself! Thats been the only issue I've had with this return. We've always had good experiences with Amazons customer service.

Plus the wife was happy to leave work early to go meet the shipper for me too!:thumbs:

:D
Holy shit! That's gonna take some serious thinking and reading.

Thanks Dennis!!!

I won the overhead console. "Buy It Now" price was $34 and I made an offer for $30 so I got the entire thing for $42. I probably overpaid for it, but it has the Mode button, HomeLink, and the headliner surrounding it is gray (matches my interior). I'm very happy with it. I guess I'll be taking a trip to the junkyard next week to search for another OHC equipped Blazer/S10. :D :fingersx: I'm gonna see how much I can find and get out of a vehicle. The only problem is that the main harness is hard to get out (from what I've read) with the dash in the vehicle (I think). Unfortunately, the Blazer I got my dash out of didn't have the OHC.

It looks harder than it is

I used some network cable for it :D

IIRC, you connect one wire to the ALDL wire, one to the VSS, and if you're browsing the junkyards, you need the temperature sensor that goes behind the grille. :)

As long as the OHC you bought has some of its wiring harness, you're good to go

All the Homelink needs is power.

I haven't done it yet, but I need to take my steps off because I sold them...

It's getting new brakes and rotors today. Might as well do a tire rotation while we're at it.

This is put on hold until Tuesday. My buddy isn't a happy camper. What was GM thinking when they designed this shit? I used to love to work on Chevy's, but ever since the 400's have gone away to the 800/900's you need to many tools. You can not get a fucking ratchet in between the leaf spring and the caliper to loosen them, and of course, this bitch takes a T55 torx instead of an allen or a wrench.

^^^ Didn't you mention the T55 Torx the other day, though? I thought that's why you were taking it to your buddy, because he had everything? :dunno:

He's bitching about the room he has to work. He wants to wait until he has a day that he can spend all his time on mine. He's afraid of breaking something, and then not being able to get it today. Makes sense to me. :dunno:
