Same here, I've crunched number for that same reason and it is not worth putting in that shitty gas. I've never put anything less than 89 in this truck since buying it July of 09'

Washed, clayed and waxed it tonight for the first time tomorrow. Now hopefully I can keep it clean for longer than a week.

Very few people believe that...
I have tried explaining that to them... they just don't get it...:dunno:
Nothing goes in mine but Premium... It runs better and gets better mileage.

Well, on Monday, I drove the S10 to haul my motorcycle home....finally. Then drove the S10 to my grandma's to park it for the summer.

We have too many vehicles outside (4; Silverado, S10, mom's old car, and brother's car) and I couldn't justify paying insurance on both trucks. I have my motorcycle for nice days and gas mileage (45mpg), my mom's old car (25-30mpg) for when I don't want to drive the Silvy, and obviously the Silvy (15-16mpg) for towing/hauling anything. I'm still covered and can still drive a variety of vehicles.....just no more 5spd for the summer.

Drove my mom's car all week. Hopefully I'll get to ride my motorcycle tomorrow if this rainy weather ever goes away. Then on Saturday, I'm hauling my buddy's demo car back from his uncle's to get the motor pulled.

You could always swap in a 5 speed :lol:
Don't tempt me Dennis! I might have to swap a NV3500 into a K1500 or S10. I can't find any with under 175k that are not all rusted out with a 5spd. Everyone has slushboxes. :dunno: I'm trying to find good NV3500/4500 swap articles for both models.

Truck sat.....all day......

Rode the motorcycle to work and back. I left and it was a beautiful sunny day. About 2hrs after getting to work, clouds rolled in. Luckily it didn't rain otherwise that would have been one unpleasant ride home (I forgot my gloves too). It was the perfect temp to ride around town a little before coming home (50mph tops).

Well, I didn't do it to my truck... But I took First Place in the Truck category at the Virginia Ham Radio Cruise-In held today in Charlottesville, VA.

:wookie::wookie::wookie::wookie:

My truck scored a 95 out of a possible 100... then they rechecked the judges votes and found an error... I actually scored a 97 out of 100. :D2

Uncovered ours, cleaned it up and started it. Going to take it for a ride in a little while.
