Brother, I hope that works out for you. Nearly $10K more in parts would make me want to analyze what the truck is worth, how much I have already spent, what is left owing on the note, what other investments need to be made on the truck, etc

I am sure you have done this...but damn!

Had a Pioneer MVH2300 installed in the work F250, with XM for my long trips. Had 4 Kenwood 4x8 3 ways installed. I like it. No bass, but good enough for work!

These aftermarket radios sure do blow everything away that comes OEM

My current available interest rate makes trading it off, more expensive, lol. Once I get the problem fixed, I'll make it back in fuel savings, lol... Since I'll at least double, if not triple my mileage, lol.

I wish head units weren't so tied-in to the vehicles these days.

It's nuts. This Ford was even worse than the GMs I have had replaced. It is a really expensive endeavor, just to put in a basic HU

They cut me a good deal, and the harness adapters you have to purchase to by-pass the separate amp, etc come to over $300. They had some take off parts that they threw in.

It will run close to $3K for you to replace with a touch screen, and amp if you wanted to on your truck

I am so pleasantly surprised that the Bose in the 15 and newer rigs is better than the prior editions. I upgraded my 07 and 09 for a hefty cost, but they needed it. My truck and the wife's rig have a respectable system

The only thing that really bugs me about the one in the truck is the nav and some other things seems slow / laggy. The stereo SOUNDS good. But, the actual dang head unit can be frustrating to deal with at times.

But, I'm not going to spend $3k to replace what's in the truck. There are other things that $$ could go towards.
