Corded Milwaukee tools are damn near bulletproof, and that is all we use.

I'm amazed how powerful the modern cordless drills are. Even the small Ryobi I have is pretty serious. Obviously it can't do what a corded Milwaukee or similar can do but it's stout.

Dave. Don't be too shocked by what comes out of the box with a made in China sticker these days.

It'd be more shocking to find one with a made in the USA sticker on it.

The only corded drill I have is a DeWalt. For cordless, I have 18v Porter Cable, 9v & 18v DeWalt and an 18v Hitachi that I really don't care for. :dunno:

I'm not. I cant believe Milwaukee and Ryobi are under same parent company called TTI. I just recently found that out.

I have a corded 1/2" Royobi that I really like, but it doesn't compare to my corded 1/2" Milwaukee.

And the Ridgid 10" compound miter is great. I like it well enough that I'm saving up for the 12" sliding compound miter. The portable 10" table saw is the bomb. I've done probably a hundred thousand feet of cuts on mine and it's still like new.

I have a cordless black and decker set. I might finding it a new home. The batteries wont hold a charge. I think its been like that ever since I bought it. Batteries drain easy to. I like the dewalt cordless stuff. They work great when and the batteries dont drain very easily when working somewhere that has no electricity.

Corded, I have an old school Craftsman that has handled everything I have thrown at it.

I keep waiting for my Ryobis to die, but they keep going!

I agree on the cordless tools these days, my 18v DeWalt hammer drill is quite powerful, but I love my Bosch Lithium for its light weight.

As mentioned for his subsequent clarification of corded tools, we have always used Milwaukee in the shop. They are super repairable, and even cord replacements are painless. Brushes and cords are all we ever have to replace, and that is with several knucklehead mechanics abusing them.
