Good luck! Roland :)

Thanks Jim!

Great advice. I can't believe something so simple and easy isn't recommended, but that wouldn't make manufacturers any money.

Should I use microfiber towels or are normal wash clothes and towels alright?

Regular washcloths should be OK as long as you don't have HARD water and the cloths are nice and soft...
Old fashioned baby diapers also work well... they are real soft.

The microfiber towels are also just fine to use.
No old fashioned baby diapers. We're not all old like you Jim. :jester:

I'll just go with microfiber. We don't have a water softener so that'll be my best bet.

Thanks again Jim!

Walmart still carries them...just in case you ever need them...  :rollin:
Do you know they have them from experience in your :quote: old age :quote:?

Do you mind me asking how much it cost?

I've tried many leather cleaners/conditioners and most available do not give very good results. So far, I haven't found anything better (including Adam's) than Leatherique products. Their cleaner and conditioner is top notch. Leatherique is the only thing that touches our leather.

I have used that on vinyl to help cover up scuffs...it works good.
I have never tried it on leather... :dunno:

I have used it on plastic and trim too with great results. This was about 10 years ago though. I know Autozone and Pep Boys both sold it back then. Dupli Color makes a leather and vinyl paint too. I used that one too but it wasn't as good as the Mar Hyde. Granted, I was just freshening up some interior panels with the Mar Hyde though. The Dupli Color paint I used to paint an interior panel a completely different color, and it rubbed off from the seatbelt rubbing on it. So I honestly can't say that it wouldn't have rubbed off the Mar Hyde too. :dunno:
But at around 5 bucks a can, I would try it. But I would clean the hell out it first before spraying any dye on it. I have heard good things about SEM products when cleaning and dyeing leather seats. I know SEM makes a special soap that you need to clean the seats with before using their dye.

Where can I find Mar-Hyde?

I know there is a body shop supply store that has SEM products. I'll check with them if I get a chance.

Try Pep Boys. I know Autozone doesn't sell it anymore. Advance or NAPA might have it too. :dunno:
Look by the body repair supplies and touch up paints.
