No one uses Mothers?

I use Mother's Quick Detailer and Wheel Polish but none of their other products.

I've used Mothers wheel polish for yers but I find their other products a little thin on performance. I think their marketing is more important to them than their products.

MeGuiars Tech 2.0 _ I was a little leery about this stuff after using their Carnauba Wax for many a year but must say that I am now hooked. The Synthetic stuff goes on and comes off supper easy. The exterior coat is super slick!

I needed to wax mine, but I just decided to paint it instead. New paint, new shine.

Being a long weekend this past weekend (Thanksgiving up here in Canuck land) and the weather being not too bad (initially) I thought I should get the car and truck cleaned up before the weather went to crap.

I had bought some Zaino products to see how well they'd work. Well, they did an excellent job! I have tried Maguire's products and I have to say that Zaino did a better job.

The process I used was to wash in Dawn, used a clay bar over the full vehicle (it certainly doesn't take long for paint to get dirty that only a clay bar will remove). Zaino Z5 application and removal, then Zaino Z2 application and removal.

Application and removal went fine on the car (I did it first and it was sunny and warm, ~65). But when I did the truck, application went okay, but removal was a pain in the ass as the high temp yesterday was only 45. In the end the truck turned out really well. Normally I would have pictures to prove it (yeah, I know, pics or gtfo), but it was 10:30 last night when I finished it and it was pissing rain this morning.

Mothers Clay bar. I have not waxed the truck in a long time. Can't remember what wax I used. As for vinyl and rubber protectant I like 303 Aerospace Protectant.

I washed both trucks Saturday morning clayed with Mothers waxed with Meguiars NXT Tech Wax 2.0 and then a final coat of Turtle Wax paste. This summer I switched to the 2.0 and it goes on easy and wipes off easy but it doesn’t seem to protect as good or as long. Since we are forecasted to have crummy winter I figured a little extra wouldn’t hurt.

Yeah, kind of seems that way. The squirrels have exceptionally bushy tails right now and are totally hoarding right now. All signs of a nasty winter around here.

I may have to try the Zaino. The past couple of times I've tried NXT which applies and comes off fine, but it just doesn't give the truck that "glassy" feel.

The Zaino gave an incredible glass look and feel, I was really impressed. If it wasn't raining I'd go take a couple pictures. The clay bar mostly lends to the smooth feel.
