I am still on the Meguiar's...wash, claybar, polish and wax.

Once I deplete the stash, I am going to try out the Zaino...maybe

I've been using Zaino for a while. I'm pleased with it.

I have used Zaino since the truck was new.
Did the whole dawn-clay-dawn thing to strip it down, and then applied the Zaino.
I only fnd the time to wax it a couple of times a year, but the finish still beads and it looks bee-yoo-tee-ful.
My truck is Steel Grey ('06) and the metallic just pops in the sun with the Zaino.
My oldest boy just bought a black silverado last fall, I need to do the same for his truck.

I'm switching over to Zaino in the coming weeks. I'm still skeptical of using dawn on the paint but I'll roll with it since no one seems to have any problems using it. :dunno:

Don't sweat the Dawn on the paint thing, we used to use Dawn on everything and it won't hurt the paint. Just takes the wax away, if it's good enough for the wife's hands it's good enough for the truck.

My wife might argue with you. Sometimes she thinks I take better care of the truck.

The dawn just removes any wax from the surface, it won;t harm the paint.
But the truck will truly be neekid (worse than just a de-badging . . .).
After dawning and claying you need to put something back onto the surface.
My one piece of advice is feel the surface of the paint with your fingers as you clay, it should feel glass-smooth after the claying is done.
That will give you a mirror finish when all is said and done.
Good luck, I think you will be impressed with the results.
