That thing does run like a bat out of hell. I coulda guessed he was an RGV guy. They have some badass trucks down there! Don't have him put in a LS1 in your truck go big or go home! at least an LS2 or something with some cubes.

I want something that my brother can tune and that I can still use my trans and give me good gas mileage like now. It would be a dream come true for that to happen. I seen this one guy that's a member of RGV trucks he put a LS engine in his 1988 truck and it looks factory that's just what I want for when the hood is open she can look as good as it does now. Oh my tunes are free since it's my brother that does them. I haven't even asked him but I know for a fact he won't charge me. I went down there once and he had just bought his G8 well it had less than 700 miles and he had his lap top in the car and while I was test driving it he was tuning it that's all new stuff to me I was amazed.

He has some really nice toys. Does he let you drive any of them? also what do you consider good gas mileage? any LS series engine is going to get better gas mileage, make more power and better reliability than any old school SBC relatively speaking.

Yes he lets me play with them but my leg shakes when driving the white 2005 truck. I say good gas mileage is what my truck gives me 17.5-18.0 on the highway and that's including my heavy butt in it.
