I have installed 100s of Sandens. The only thing they don't like is liquid. As long as your guy doesn't hit it with straight liquid while charging, you will be good.
Yes it is a good pump when we did my a/c unit last month if it had R12 it takes less 134 than the R12 like around 3 ounces from what I was told and it came out good.
Well I got bored today and decided to start tearing down the ac system in my truck. The last time I messed with the ac system I had to replace the high side line coming off the firewall to the condenser. I ended up ripping the threads off of the condenser due to the steel fitting on the line. I had to replace it as well as the line; it had a hole in it anyway. I have been worrying about that fitting this whole time. But lo and behold the new line came with an aluminum fitting instead of a steal one so it was easy to remove without messing anything up. I removed the orifice tube which had what I’m assuming is piston ring material all on it so a flush is necessary. I was also able to remove the drier with relative ease which was surprising since it’s never been off. The rest of the work will be done at my dads this weekend and I’m planning on having pictures then. No pictures today since I was by myself. Sorry
Here are the pictures from yesterday. AC is nice and cold in the 96 now how ever the 2000 had a leaking valve stem on the high side. My dad is fixing it today. Both systems were flushed and blow out in compressed air. I think mine might need new actuators in the vents since it doesn't blow as hard as my dads dose. For some reason i can't get the pics to show up with links so here is a link to the whole album. Enjoy.
