CEL finally stayed on and it read P0506 or something which was "idle control sensor".... $400 and a new throttle body to fix it

I'm NEW... What now?
My truck has been doing crazy stuff lately. Im really not sure how to describe it but when i go to slow down and come to a stop it was shut off. Its also idles erratically sometimes. I just bought a fuel filter and im going to change it but do you guys have any other ideas? its a 2006 4.6 with 97k miles
