Transmisson Fluid To By-pass Radiator

And, stop and think what effect not running it through the radiator will have on the temps in the winter. I have no idea where you're from, but if your winter temps get down to freezing, and you run just an external cooler, that tranny will be constantly running cold.

I'm running the 5r55e transmission with Amsoil trans fluid. I'm in the Tamps Fl area. Winter the temp in the trans is where I'd like to be and that is the 150 range.

The radiator helps keep the fluid heated in the Winter as much as it cools the fluid in the Summer. An external cooler is good but I would not bypass the radiator.
