I was wondering what transmission temp. your trucks are running at? I noticed on the interstate the other day mine was around 160. Idk what normal is. The reason I ask is my brother's 2011 GMC Sierra 4x4. 6.2L is runnig about 180 degrees and I thought that might be a little high.

Mine is a different breed, but it usually runs about 135-140, at least it has this winter since I put the EVIC in so I can see it.

I agree, as long as it doesn't get over 200 you are fine. 150 to 180 is about normal operating range, unless it is 100 outside and your are towing/hauling.

That sounds a little high for normal driving, I average 140-145 on highway and 160-165 pulling hills unloaded.
I had a problem with my trans running at 180 and up constantly even normal driving so Ford rebuilt my trans haven't had a problem since

The hottest I have seen my trans is 210 but that was pulling this up the Cajon pass

depends on the temp outside, and if the truck is constantly shifting or not. if you get over 210 i would get a little nervous.

my '08 with 35's and the 4L70 get up around 210-215 1 time in 95+ degrees and BIG hills with me in traffic going between 30-80mph. i backed the speed down and tried to maintain a constand speed as much as i could and the temp dropped back to around 200. in the cold my allison has been around 100-120 and my wife's tahoe has been around 120-140.

I've seen 200 when towing in the hills. Normally about 160-170 in extended driving.

100-110 in the winter, 150-180 in the summer. Give or take a few degrees. :dunno:
