Are these the tow hooks that won't work?

they are bolt on's i want to weld them on thats the thing
and the 4 wheel parts by my house only has 1 not a pair

If you already have the bolt holes why are you so dead set against bolting them on? I don't know how much welding experience you have but a high grade bolt will be stronger than most amateur welding jobs.

P.S. My 08 dodge was a 4x4 and didn't have tow hooks.

LEO and Che said welding is a lot better because the bolts have a chance of breaking

but welding is not a concern, can i bolt and weld? i dont see why not

Yup you can do both. Personally I would weld a bracket on with a shackle attached. The tow hooks pictured in this thread make me nervous about a strap or rope slipping off.
