Why buy new when you can restore?
Alright, a little short notice, but there's a Buy 3, Get 1 Free sale going on here I have Monday and Tuesday to get in and buy the tires (I'm just gonna buy them now and schedule the install at a later time). I need to pick out and get tires for my brother's car. It's a 1997 Dodge Stratus with 169k (tires will probably outlast the car, but it's still a great car both mechanically and cosmetically).
Anyways, we're not looking to break the bank by any means; hopefully less than $100/tire. I'm only looking at Cooper tires and from Blain's Farm & Fleet. The car gets driven year round so snow traction is important. The car currently has 195/70R14 and is the factory size.
I'm kinda leaning towards the CS4 (80k mile warranty; way overkill) (link to Cooper's site) which would be $273 for 3 tires plus mounting/disposal/tax.
You guys have any thoughts? Thanks!
