If your hood latch is sticky from releasing from popping the hood up. Then pour some chainsaw bar and chain oil. I did it mine back in the summer and havent had problem with it since.

I use Astroglide. A little dab will do ya'.

Helps tons if you have a small garage.

I forgot that I used KY jelly on a car door that was left open for 12 years and it would not budge. A couple squirts on the hinges and latch and the door closed like it was new!

That's it, I am putting hood latch oil in my Husqvarna bar reservoir.

The gas in the tank of the truck didn't taster very good. I added some A1 sauce, not only does it taster better but the vehicle gained 300hp to the wheels.

Bar and chain oil is like STP, especially in cold weather.

Nothing I would love more than to pop my hood to check my oil, and have huge string of sticky oil that was stuck to the hood an core support, stripe me from head to belt.

That would be just nifty.

Lithium grease is pretty cool though

I use summer grade bar and chain oil year around. I was using Liquid Wrench Penetrating oil but is wasnt working very well.
Should have been using the lubricating oil. :uhoh:
