Sorry I missed this earlier. Starting in '03, no cladding (WBH) became an option.

Yes,Gatorback works great,Its the only thing we use at the dealership,Its actually endorsed by GM for us to use.

Correct,'03-'06 1500's had the optional "WBH" package which deleted the cladding,and gave you chrome bumpers as well. (2500 series had no option to delete the cladding)
Body styles actually changed for '07 to the GMT900 series,all of those have no cladding.

never really liked these trucks just not for me...too much plastic trim and needs wheels and tires all said imo
