I typically drive like a grandpa and I could really feel it at real light acceleration. I fixed it by matting the throttle every time I take off.
I drive with a light foot too, I will hammer it don't get me wrong. But I normally drive very light footed for fuel mileage. The truck digs pretty good when you are aggressive with the throttle but the light pedal take offs is taking some getting used to. No complaints just different from my 800.
A tune will help with milage and driveablity.... you should look into that. :D2

+1

A tune will eliminate your throttle complaint.

I noticed this on my dad's truck too. I wish it was still you push the pedal and the engine goes... not you push the pedal, the computer interprets and then tells the engine to go.

Better keep your truck then or find an older one!

I prefer a cable to a wire. I just feel safer and more reliable. I like knowing exactly what is going on; not trying to figure out what a ECM is doing.

Clancy, did you ever talk to Justin before you bought the truck?

That is just crazy talk! :jester: There is so much stuff that can be done with these new engines because of the advanced computers and DBW. You just need to upgrade. :D2

Throttle opening/position has nothing to do with making more power.
Plus, its just one more expensive electic motor to replace!

Stop side-tracking me. I ended with a Q for Clancy damnit!

I know, but it does have to do with driveability. Just get a tune and call it a day.
