Shanin, what gears does yours have in it? The one I am looking at has 3.92 LS. BTW, your Ram is definitely one of my favorite trucks on this site!

Stock is 3.55. This TRX4 package included 3.92. If you buy one, you will not be disappointed! :D

Thanks for the compliment

If I were to get a new truck now, I'd strongly consider the new Dodge. They do look fantastic, and from what you all say the mileage seems to be a lot better than the OBS.

Shanin, why the heck is your '07 mileage so low? Sounds like a major issue there (being serious).

Honestly, I am not sure. You would think the exhaust, CIA, and larger tires (PCM was reprogrammed when I got the larger tires) would not effect it much, maybe even help it? :dunno:

I only drove the truck with stock wheels and tires for 2 days after I got it so I really don't know what the mileage can be, or is suppose to be. I have had it in for recalls and a few issues and I mentioned that to the mechanics and they all tell me it is the large tires. I call BS, but it is really ok. The low mileage is the price I pay for a F/S truck  My next truck will most likely be a Red Ram

The Ram is our road-trip truck! We got 29 mpg when we took it down to Eugene OR and back

The only reason I asked is because our setups are very similar. I get 12/13 city and 16/17 highway. I lost on average 1.5mpg when I switched out the stock wheels and tires.

That 29 is darn impressive mileage for a full-size truck.

Looks like it will probably happen, they are finalizing the numbers. Here are some pics I found online that are basically identical to the one I am purchasing. White 2010 Ram 1500 quad cab ST 4x4, HEMI, 5 speed auto, 3.92 LS, tow package, etc. The only thing it is missing that I really wish it had is the upgraded cluster with the EVIC (driver info center) with steering wheel controls. Has a whopping 52 miles on it. I will take some actual photos when I pick it up tomorrow. I guess I will be stripping all the goodies off mine tonight so I can trade it in tomorrow.

Thanks! I haven't bought a brand new truck in quite a while. Right now with the rebates, etc. it was just as cheap to buy new as it was to get an 09 or 10 used one with 20k+ miles. Plus, I get new vehicle interest rates to boot! Payment should only be about $35/mo higher than my Frontier, and I bet I get almost the same fuel mileage, plus a 3 year newer vehicle with 50k less miles.
