Do you like classic muscle cars but have your own ideas on how to make them better? Do you think that the factory look of these cars could be tweaked to look even more aggressive? There are people who agree with you and are meshing their own ideas with classic cars to create unique rides. Over at amcar guide, pictures of a ‘70 Firebird with individual flare were posted up. The car is sure to get plenty of attention for its unique look and modified powerhouse under the hood.

It is uncertain whether the original car was a Firebird or a Trans Am because of all the modifications that are shown in the photos.

Included in the gallery are a concept drawing, as well as pictures of the car with bare metal during metal fabrication, the car in white primer, the engine, and the end product of this creator’s idea. The car obviously underwent a transformation. The fenders were flared, the car was lowered, a fiberglass hood was put on it, side skirts were used and the spoiler was shaped. Not only is the newly-formed car a looker, it is also powered by a new twin-turbo engine.

Whether you like the look of this Firebird or not, you can’t deny that it is unique. It is nice to see new takes on the old classics.
Chevrolet, Ford and Dodge are creating new cars with old-school flare. Why not switch it around and take an old classic and create a “new” car out of it?

I seen this show the other day to where Foose was doing mods to a 1969 Camaro the mods were so they could start a line of them or making them for the public. Did anybody see the show it's from some years back and does anybody know what became of his idea's for the car? Im thinking that's where Chevy came out with the new camaro that's out now even thou Foose's camaro looked now old school which I like better.

Seems to me that the intake pipes should be flexible jointed in 2 places each instead of just the one to account for the roll of the engine. Otherwise, I'd think it would put some serious stress on the pipes right at the front joint.:dunno:

Other than that, I like the looks of the car minus the "nostrils" as Carl called them .

There is right up by the intake plenum. Looks like black silicone.

The engine most likely rides on solid mounts. Most high HP setups don't run the rubber flex mounts.
