What rear end ratio does it have? The 5.3/4L60 combo with a 3.42 rear end might not like that big, heavy boat very much.

I am thinking though that since it is a Z71 it has 3.73's? Or is that not necessarily true?

But again, I do not tow my boat more than 3-4x (less than 100 miles) per year.

Anybody recall what the RPO code is for the rear end ratio in the glove box? I have a feeling this guy will not know and will need to look at that.

Per the 06 manual the options for the Suburban in 06 were 3.42s or 4.10s. Idk about back then but on my 13 Tahoe the Z71 had no effect on the standard axle ratios. Pretty much required the K5L towing package.

Not going to worry about the 3.42's as it will tow fine the little amount I do.

It does have an aux trans cooler, so that is good.

I just heard from him, his buddy is still undecided, but he said he is not going to wait for him any more. He is working on fixing the non-functioning heated seats as we speak.

It's looking like this is going to happen.
