Thinking about buying Emily a WRX STi... Update: Keeping the Honda

We are going to go drive the WRX and the GT tomorrow. I'll let you guys know what we thing. Damn I like the look of the Mustang. We've checked out the Camaros and don;t think we want to go that direction. Don't want to spend Vette money (and they suck when it comes to room to carry anything).

I think I'd have to grab the Mustang.

I've driven both cars (admittedly I haven't driven the very newest STi) and I can tell you that as fun as the STi is, it just doesn't feel to me like a car I'd want to just go cruise around in.

The new 5.0 is a beast. I have driven my buddy's a few times now and it's very smooth. Some wheels, some springs and some tint and they can be sexy as hell in no time.



The only con: The interior is still very much a Ford.

When you test the Mustang get a feel for how they corner. They HP is a blast, but the handling is pure fun. Another thing I like is how the car wraps around you when you sit in it.

If the WRX is still on the hatch/wagon/wtf design Mustang wins by default.

The new Mustangs look awesome and as mentioned the new 5l is pretty nice.

Well. A buddy bought a new 5.0 a while back and I've had the pleasure of driving it. I must say the torque is amazing. His is a manual, but Emily would be bucking for an AT.
