I am still in the planning/ wishing process. I would like more power from the Burb. The Blackbear tune did help out some, but I am still wanting a bit more. I don't exactly have a lot of cash laying around so I will have to go the least expensive route, (or fill some cans with all my change for the next few years). I think I need to join up over on LS1tech and PerformanceTrucks and do some searching and lurking fir a little while to gain some knowledge about increasing the output of these engines.
Once you start reading, you will never stop.

Seriously, there just plain isn't one.

Power is NOT cheap, and if you try to gain power cheap, you'll end up spending more down the road, either replacing broken parts, or parts that were a poor choice. Either save money for a more powerful vehicle, or save for a couple of years so you can do everything that needs to be done at one time, that's what I did.

It's all about planning, and choosing the right combination of parts. I spent countless hours researching before I bought a single part for my truck, and it's paid off. Close to 50 quarter mile passes over the course of a year, and plenty more street launches, and I haven't broken a single part (yet).

If you're not willing (or able) to drop a LOT of money into a vehicle, especially a daily driver, opening up the engine just isn't a wise decision.

Now that's exactly why I need to do more research.

I can maybe dump a few hundred into it, but no more than that. At least not all at once. Maybe if I do it in stages, like get headers, then a stall, and then a cam if I still decide I even want it by that point. :dunno:

A stall would make you instantly a half second or more faster to 60.
