Exhaust fluid. fWONking pussification of America right there :fume:

:withstupid:

The effectiveness of such pussification, regarding any supposed environmental benefit, is nearly none. I'm not advocating for rolling coal, but either exhaust fluid or EGR didn't seem to overcome their increased cost and for any standpoint.

I need to ask my Brother how often he has to fill up his DEF tank.
He drives a lot of miles.

Let's just say it needs filled up about twice as much as the dealer told him at the initial sale.

I think they said that it would be every other oil change and I'd have to monitor it closely to be accurate but I think I fill it every 5k miles with 5 gallons.

I have about 23k miles on it.

Time to top off the DEF, 10808 miles. About half towing and light.

I just saw this thread. My def fluid goes about 4500 miles. I always seem to need to add just before service. this time 19,400. I question the fact that when I bought the truck I had to add fluid at 1500 miles. since then the dealer has been documenting how much DEF fluid my truck took at service time. I can not make it to the next service on a full def tank. I service every 5k

So it sounds like you are doing better than me.

I'm still trying to get a handle on it myself. I probably do a little better than you because I have long stretches at constant speed when I go home every week. 250 mile trip mostly interstate and highway miles.

I wonder if the lift and bigger tires have a play in usage. Another thing is I do very little flat driving going from sea level to 2000 ft daily

I am now quoting off highway engines with SCR. Hate to see this day come. Fuggin generators with after treatment :( We just completed our first upfit of DOCs on a 750hp 8v92.

Never thought I would see aftertreatment on a dirty old 2 stroke
