Everybody I know thats had this style of Ford( pickups and broncos) has had the solenoid F-up at the worst time. They're easy to jump start across the solenoid, but for $9 why keep starting it with a screwdriver?
You might want that hose later on as its coming from the airfilter....aka not letting dirty air into engine. Local scrap yard is probably full of them for cheap.

even without the hose on the airbox the air is still filtered... right? that's what I'm seeing. and where is the starter solenoid? I thought you mean the whole starter.

Bumper guy was a flake. I had plans to paint it but looks like everything is getting put on hold until the 2nd of march or sometime around then. Taxes came up :fume:

Paint and fenders are next or upgrading the ignition. Went to start it the other day and it would only crank once, but now it starts better than ever. :dunno:

So I finally got it out and it ran great, until we turned around, then my buddy started getting stuck and it wasn't long until I was over heating too (from pulling his butt out of the holes he was digging). Plenty of damage to both vehicles, his was cosmetic and should cost less, mine was more performance wise, here's a video of last monday and a list of the damage.

snapped a wire
broke a hub lock
damaged a battery cell (leaked every where)
pinched an ac line in the belt and shredded the line
jumped the truck off the ground (all 4 wheels) 3 time
hooked up a tow strap more than 20 times to pull the same guy out
got backed into
nearly got stuck
over heated multiple time (me and the other guy)
and a few other things I can't think of
oh... and found out that my passenger hub isn't locking fully, its making a weird grinding noise occasionally.
