Unless your current cats are bad, save the cash. You won't see enough benefits, either in performance or sound to justify the cost.

It will be louder.
And pollute a LOT more. And smell a LOT more. And you'll have to get the rear O2 sensors tuned out to shut off the SES light.
The only thing you gain by pulling the cats off of a stock 5.3L is in volume. If you want it louder, just get a smaller muffler and don't pollute unnecessarily.
