Because I don't like the eventual look of chrome exhaust tips (rusty, dirty, hanging all different ways), is it possible to get a nice deep growl (not loud and snappy...and any RPM) while still using the stock factory tail pipe?

Yes, but it won't be as deep as a good aftermarket/custom setup. Just swap in a Dynomax Bullet, Magnaflow, or Borla. They all sound great with stock tail pipes.

Yeah, thats what I am leaning to. Had one on my canyon and it made the I5 sound prety good. Would you know what part # the muffler would be for it on my truck? I have an exhaust guy that will put it on for me. Will be using stock size pipe.
