Texans are NOT used to cold weather like our Yankee brothers.

Im sure theres lots of people, that like Zem, had their rads and heating systems freeze solid and burst.
Not having a block heater prob didnt help, spend the extra few bucks and get one installed.....just in case you get a freak snow storm:jester:

Running even the slightest mix of antifreeze here is enough to dodge the problem. It just doesn't get that cold here...

The Ford Explorer has 215K on the clock and admittedly has not seen much maintenance in the last 115K. I'm basically gonna drive it until it coughs up a lung one day and I'm going to leave it wherever it croaks... to be picked up by the state and auctioned off to some guy that will probably patch it up and take it to Mexico.

In this area hells yeah.

More than likely if he leaves it on the road itll be picked up by a spanish speaking brother before the state even slaps a sticker on it.

After hurricane Ike our company was missing a truck, it was found in mexico....

They go to Mexico in caravans. One tiny ass vehicle hauling something twice its size is the norm.

The weather is really fucked up this year, we`ve had alot of dramatic tempurature swings, and mostly in a matter of hours, has made for some interesting driving situations!

Mexico is a hot market for cars (stolen or otherwise). It's only about 175 miles to the border from here.

I've had friends from the great white North come down in August. They wilt like yesterday's daisies when the temp hits 105 out on the lake (just like we would at -40)

We love it.
