Show room had a 2LT model in a nice grey metallic color. Liked the room and accessibility (seats 7), its like a large car *subaru forester comes to mind* (except no awd... or thoughts of "cool sporty-ness") I`m 5'11" and there was several inches of headroom up and down and side to side, no chance of smashing my head on rough roads.

Went out and drove a 1LT, was a very solid car and handled pavement very well, much better then the edge we used to have, much firmer and less roll in corners. Hitting road bumps, tar spots and such does give off a signifigant amount of body shock that is not as much felt as it is heard (it was certainly no different than the Corrolla S I had in Alaska). Its a FWD car, it did not handle gravel roads like the AWD Edge which is no surprise. Does not have terrible blind spots and controls are easy to reach without any strain. The 6 speed automatic was amaizing and the 2.4 Ecotec was very quiet even under hard acceleration, and also has a manual mode! Power is ample considering engine size, and there is no way the car will over power your ability to steer while hitting the go pedal.

Just wanted to check out this car as my wife still drives my truck to work every day, and it would be nice to have something for commuting that can take a lot of stuff with it while being less thirsty. :D Its supposed to get 35mpg.
