I can see why they would be upset. Top gear tried to claim the car only achieves 1/4 of the mileage tesla said it would, then to find out, top gear lied about it and never even came close to running the battery out. Thats going out of your way to put down a company and not even being truthfull about your claims. So yea, if even if 2 potential buyers for that car seen that show and decided against getting it because of that, they just cost them thousands of dollars.
The car had its downfalls and yea, doing an unbiased review, you should be pointing them out to make your viewers aware. But to blow up its downfalls and really over exaggerate how bad it is, ESPECIALLY, on one of the main selling features of the car!!! Thats not right..
Im a top gear fan by the way and seen that review and i was very dissapointed when i seen they only got 55 miles out of it. Now that i see it was a lie, that kind of took away some of my respect for that show.
