Man what a horrible weekend for you and your family Jon! :(

I hope your sister's friend was okay after getting rear ended. I'm glad no one was hurt in the other mishaps.

I really hope it's nothing serious with your truck.

Well I just got word from the dealership, my Fuel Pump Drive Moduel burnt up. Should have it fixed by tomorrow afternoon. Cost around $350.00 out the door. :frustration: I know most of that is labor bull shit..

That sucks, but at least it wasn't something too terribly complicated! Hopefully they get it all fixed up for you.

Yeah it sucks but at least they found it and it wasn't one of those gremlins. I hate that shit, when you can't duplicate some problem.

From doing some searching apparently it is a known problem with Ford, because it's made of plastic. I probably could change it myself because it's under the spare tire, but that would mean having to trailor it home and lay on a cold garage floor, so I just figured might as well let them do it.

At least it wasn't anything too complicated and they were able to identify it quickly. Still a pita.

Man... That sucks!

I've heard lots of stories about that thing crapping out. I actually have a few links bookmarked so when I get a chance to change it I will have some reference.

Your lucky that they had one on hand. Lots of people say they are on backorder for months. (But you can often get one from a similar year F250 I believe.)

If it was back near your home when this happened Im sure you probably would have changed it yourself, but since its that far away might as well have them do it.

Yeah I would have done it and saved money if it was closer, but it took them 4 hours to figure out the problem anyways, so I'm sure that cost a pretty penny by itself.
