Considered a ford fusion? The 2010+ models are very nice, have projector headlights from the factory so you see great at night. The V6 is mated with a very smooth shifting 6 speed automatic. Theres barely any plastic at all in the interior, all nicer soft touch materials, great stereo. Just a well built car, my gf has had one for about 8 months now, its a 2010 fusion, had 10k on it when she bought it, shes at about 25k now and the car has been perfect and it drives very nice.

The model your mom would like is the SEL model, you can also get that in AWD, drives great, lots of power.

One of my friends bought an '06 G6 with 60k on it for his wife this spring and had nothing but trouble with it for the first few months they owned it.

Bad wheel bearings, something wrong with the steering column that required replacement of the whole column, transmission issues that required replacing the transmission and a bunch of other less major issues. Eventually everything got fixed under warranty from the dealership though and its been fine since.

Its not a bad riding car and its got decent room in it. Im 6'3 and my friend is a bit taller and bigger than me and we both fit in it just fine.

SHE BOUGHT IT!!!!!!!

Dealer link

2010 Pontiac G6 3.5L V6 4,550mi at the time of pick-up.

I'll get some pics of it tomorrow night if she gets home early enough.

Now I have to figure out why her '97 Dodge Stratus is running rough. :uhoh: So much for not having 4 vehicles for 3 drivers for the winter :(. For now we actually have 5 vehicles (2 are mom's, my 2 trucks, and my grandpa's car that my brother drives (an '87 Olds Cutlas Cierra)) and 2 motorcycles (mine and mom's). Shit....come this spring parking is gonna be a B.I.T.C.H.

You betcha
My brother-in law had a 4 banger G6 and it would get 34mpg easy on the highway with the 4spd. Worst it ever received was like 29 in stop in go horrible weather...

i still stick by my fusion recommendation. We looked at all these cars when buying for the girlfriend. G6 is nice but the fusion was just better quality throughout and the 6 speed auto went very well with the V6.

We looked at the mazda 3, fusion, 300, and a g6.

Anywyas, good luck with the G6, i know my cousin enjoys his, he travels across the country with it
