Tell me about the G6 (bought one see post 27)

I drove a G6 rental for awhile... Not a bad little car....
But I'd look into a newer Malibu or Accord

I'd spend a touch more money and get a G8:

Ok...maybe that's not an option...but I would also look at the Grand Prix/Impala...You can find those for around the same money with the same miles.

Matt, I love the G8, but there aren't any around me....at all.

We stopped and looked at a new-er Grand Prix / Bonneville, but my mom said they are bigger than what she wants. And more $$$ too (the $17k is already above her price range, but she might go for it since it has 4k mi, sunroof, and heated leather (she really likes/wants the last 2). In addition, this one will still be under warranty for a long time. All the others will hit the 36k mi in about a year.

The G6 is a perfect size for my mom. Its usually only her in the car and occasionally my grandparents (once in a great while) and with my brother and I getting older (me with my trucks and him with no car of his own), there's no real need for a full-size sedan any more. She also likes the looks of the G6 a lot. Says its "sporty". (whatever )

4 speed trans = 4T60E

S6 = sport six speed automatic

Not sure why it's only an option on the 4 banger... Unless it's the turbo 4...

Thanks Dennis! That makes sense since the S6 gets better HWY mileage. I don't think there is/was a turbo on the G6 though.

That's why I'm confused as to why they offer the 6 only on the 4

Yeah, shouldn't the 6spd be on the V6 instead?

Haven't seen any GXP's, only GTP's. She wants 4dr anyways (^^^looks like shit anyways).

Sticks I have more car dealers around me than there should be for the population in the are of me and I can always go to Rochester before I drive all the way to the Cities.

They were all different...some great deals on Impalas...don't know what happened...
